The very successful AAI 2 postgraduate workshop and conference took place from 27-30 June 2007 at ANU House and the Rydges Carlton in Melbourne.
As well as full days of keynotes, panels and discussions, there was also an Asian Australian cabaret on the Thursday evening (28 June) and a meetup with some locals at the Asian Australian Meetup on Friday night. Over 80 delegates participated in these events, and they came from every Australian state, the US and Europe. It was also great to have representatives from Asialink and the OzAsia Festival take part.
The AASRN executive has had a lot of positive feedback about the workshop and conference, and we're excited about the collaborations and publications that will be following.
The convenors would like to thank all delegates for their enthusiastic participation.
